Editorial & Listing Policy
Plain standards for how our Kerala travel guides, route descriptions and houseboat listings are written, checked and revised. Article dates are shown on individual guides when a genuine publication or substantive revision date is available.
Who writes and reviews our content
Content on Boating Booking (https://www.boatingbooking.in) is produced by two internal teams operating across Kerala, India:
- Boating Booking Editorial Desk — writes and maintains destination guides, route explainers, boarding-point checklists and Kerala itineraries.
- Alleppey Houseboat Booking Desk — checks operator details, cabin counts, meal plans, AC operating hours and boarding jetties before confirming a trip.
How we handle prices, routes and timings
- No invented price banners: Commercial pages read the current displayed per-night amount from the same catalog data shown on each boat listing. See how listed houseboat amounts work.
- Sample vs confirmed listings: Inventory that has not yet completed operator confirmation is visibly badged as a sample listing and kept out of search indexation until confirmed by the admin desk.
- Route and water conditions: Backwater routes around Alappuzha (Punnamada, Finishing Point, Kuttanad, Kainakary, Nedumudy, Champakulam and Vembanad Lake) depend on weather, water levels and captain safety decisions. Guides state typical patterns and note where the operator confirms final schedules.
- No fabricated reviews or awards: We do not publish fake star ratings, unverified testimonials, or unsupported claims of government affiliation.
External references we use when facts need support
When a guide describes official destination context, public geography or district-level travel information, we prefer official public sources and cite them near the relevant statement. Examples include the Kerala Tourism official website and the Alappuzha district administration website. We do not use outbound links to imply endorsement, partnership or government affiliation.
Dates, revisions and corrections
Every journal guide displays its publication date and responsible desk. We update dates only when a substantive revision is made to route details, seasonal guidance or booking workflow instructions.
